Is There a World Leader Whose Name Equals 666? What This Could Mean for the Future
It’s an idea that has rattled around in conspiracy circles and biblical prophecy discussions for centuries—who is the Antichrist? And more importantly, does his name actually add up to 666, as Revelation 13:18 suggests? Nelson Walters dives into this question using gematria, an ancient number-letter system, to test the names of world leaders.
A lot of people assume the Antichrist will be some charismatic, power-hungry figure—a man (or entity?) who rises to rule with deception. And, let’s be honest, modern politics gives us plenty of suspicious candidates. Trump? Musk? Gates? Maybe someone more obscure? Walters breaks down their names using the same numerical system that early church scholars would’ve used. And—here’s the kicker—only one leader actually lands on the infamous 666.
The Math Behind the Madness (or the Prophecy?)
In case you’re unfamiliar with gematria, it’s this old, slightly mystical, slightly mathematical system where letters are assigned numeric values. Think of it like a secret code that’s been hiding in plain sight for thousands of years. The Book of Revelation says we’re supposed to calculate the number of the Beast—meaning it’s not just symbolic. It’s an actual, countable thing.
Irenaeus, a church father who personally learned from John’s disciple Polycarp, emphasized that the number 666 was literal—and that people shouldn’t jump to conclusions before “the end times.” (Good luck telling that to modern internet theorists.) He found that three names from his era matched the number: Latinos, Teitan, and Evanthas. But he did not include Emperor Nero, despite the common idea that Nero was the Beast.
Fast forward a couple thousand years, and we’ve got the same puzzle but a whole new set of players. Walters tests current world leaders to see if their names—translated into Greek or Hebrew—hit the jackpot.
The Usual Suspects: Are They Even Close?
Donald Trump – The Fan Favorite That Misses the Mark
Trump, for all his controversy, does not pass the 666 test. His numbers:
- Greek: 680 or 1799 (with middle name)
- Hebrew: 498
So, while Trump dominates headlines, his name doesn’t fit the prophecy. If he were the Antichrist, wouldn’t the numbers align? Maybe. Maybe not.
Elon Musk – Techno-Prophet or Just a Really Smart Guy?
People love to speculate about Musk—Neuralink, AI, space travel, global influence. If the Antichrist were a Silicon Valley billionaire who wants to merge humans with machines, he’d be the top pick. But his numbers don’t match either.
- Greek: 223
- Hebrew: 523
However, here’s something super weird: Neuralink—yes, the brain chip company—does add up to 666. A glitch in the matrix, or a sign of something deeper? (Cue eerie music.)
Jared Kushner, Barack Obama, and Bill Gates – Theories That Don’t Add Up
Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and major figure in Middle East diplomacy, has been rumored as a candidate, too. But his numbers fall short. Same goes for Obama—despite being a longtime suspect among prophecy watchers—and Bill Gates, who doesn’t even come close, despite what some random internet forum might say.
Even Pope Francis, often thrown into the mix as either the Antichrist or the False Prophet, fails the 666 test. His real name and even his title don’t measure up. The same goes for King Charles and French President Emmanuel Macron (though Macron gets somewhat close with 652 in Hebrew).
Which means…
The One Name That Does Equal 666
After testing all these names, only one world leader’s name actually adds up to 666—Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
Now, here’s where things get fascinating. Early Arabic writing, like Hebrew, didn’t use vowels or doubled letters (like the “mm” in Mohammed). Adjusting for that, MBS’s name in Greek gematria hits 666 perfectly—just like Irenaeus’ method suggested.
Does this prove MBS is the Antichrist? Not necessarily. The Bible says ten kings will form first, and we’re not quite there yet. But compared to the others, he’s the strongest candidate. And it’s not just his name—his role in enforcing Middle East peace agreements is eerily similar to prophecy.
So What Now?
If MBS really is the Antichrist (or even just a forerunner to something bigger), we might be standing on the edge of a serious global shift. Or—here’s the other possibility—maybe the Antichrist hasn’t even entered the public eye yet. Maybe this entire discussion is a distraction from something we’re not even looking at.
One thing’s for sure: history is playing out in real time, and prophecy watchers are keeping their eyes on the world stage. If MBS isn’t the guy, then who is? Maybe someone we haven’t even heard of yet.
But, as Walters says, if you want to figure out where the Antichrist comes from, you might want to look at where the Bible says he’ll rise.
And that—well, that’s a whole other rabbit hole.
