What Will Heaven Be Like? – Revelation 4 with Greg Laurie

What if heaven isn’t what you imagined? What if it’s better than you hoped? Pastor Greg Laurie, from Harvest Church, talks about what will Heaven be like, and what the Bible really says. No clouds. No harps. Just something real, solid, and better than we thought. If you’ve ever wondered what happens after this life, this message gives clear answers. Watch and listen!

Heaven Isn’t Boring

Some people think heaven sounds boring. Like a never-ending church service. Greg Laurie says that’s not true. Heaven will be full of life. Real joy. Real purpose. Real things to do.

We’ll explore. Learn. Laugh. We’ll live in the best version of the world. If earth is a copy, heaven is the original. It’s where you’ll feel most alive.

You’ll still be yourself—just better.

Will We Know Each Other?

Yes. We’ll know our friends and family. Laurie points to stories in the Bible. People kept their identity. Even in heaven.

You won’t lose your memories. You’ll likely know more than you ever did. You might even recognize people you’ve never met before.

What Will Our Bodies Be Like in Heaven?

Laurie says we’ll have new bodies. But they’ll be real. Not ghosts. Not shadows. He explains this using Jesus as the example.

After His resurrection, Jesus ate food. He spoke with His friends. His body was alive—but better.

We’ll be like that. No pain. No sickness. Just strong, healed bodies. Still us.

Heaven Is a Real Place

Heaven isn’t just a feeling. It’s a place. A real place. Jesus said, “I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2).

The Bible talks about cities. Rivers. Trees. Streets. Heaven has structure. It’s not just floating around. It’s built by God.

What Will We Do in Heaven?

We won’t be bored. Laurie says we’ll worship, learn, and serve. We’ll have purpose. Work that we love. Time with people we love.

There will be joy. Peace. No stress. We’ll keep learning about God and His creation. Forever.

Who Goes to Heaven?

Greg Laurie makes this clear. Heaven is for people who trust Jesus. It’s not about being perfect. Or doing more good than bad.

It’s about believing in the One who died for your sins. That’s how you receive eternal life.

Don’t wait. The offer is for now. Not later.

So, What Will Heaven Be Like?

Heaven is real. It’s made by God. For people who trust Him. Greg Laurie reminds us: heaven will be better than we thought. And it’s worth thinking about today!

Revelation Chapter 4

The Throne in Heaven – What Will Heaven Be Like?

After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne.

Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a] of God. Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.

Four Living Creatures

In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:

“‘Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord God Almighty,’[b]
who was, and is, and is to come.”

Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
    and have their being.”
